Turned seals for hydraulic cylinders and materials for them
Turned seals are special elements for sealing working surfaces in hydraulic cylinders, manufactured by mechanical processing (turning) from polymer or elastomer blanks. They are used to prevent working fluid leakage, protect from dust, compensate for pressure and vibrations, as well as reduce friction and wear in the hydraulic system.
The advantage of turned seals is that they can be manufactured to individual dimensions and specific operating conditions, which is especially important for repairs and non-standard equipment.

NBR (nitrile rubber)
Resistant to oils and fuels, good elasticity, limited resistance to ozone and chemicals.
Application areas
Standard hydraulic cylinders, agricultural machinery (tractors, presses, combines), construction machinery (excavators, loaders), trucks, mobile cranes.
H-NBR (hydrogenated nitrile rubber)
More resistant to high temperatures, ozone, oils and chemicals compared to conventional NBR.
FPM (fluororubber, Viton®)
High chemical resistance, withstands fuel, oils, acids, ozone and high temperatures.
Application areas
Equipment in aggressive environments: drilling rigs, oil production platforms, chemical reactors, hydraulic cylinders in aviation and energy, engines and pumps.
EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber)
Excellent resistance to water, steam, ozone and glycol-based brake fluids. Incompatible with mineral oils.
Application areas
Hydraulic cylinders working with water or steam, power equipment (boilers, turbines), brake systems, water treatment and transportation equipment.
PU 93 Green (standard polyurethane)
High wear resistance, good strength and elasticity.

HPU 55/ U2 Yellow
Polyurethane of increased hardness, depending on the hardness of the polyurethane, friction and wear are reduced. In many cases, it can be a better choice than PTFE/

HPU/U2 (high-performance polyurethane)

LT-PU (low-temperature polyurethane)
Modified polyurethane, designed for operation at low temperatures.

Extremely low coefficient of friction, chemically inert, does not absorb moisture. Suitable for interaction with food products.

PTFE 1 (with filler –15% glass and MOS 5%)
Increased wear resistance, less deformation under load, good dielectric properties.

PTFE 2 (with filler – 40% bronze)
Reduced friction, better operation without lubrication, resistant to high sliding speeds.

Rigid engineering plastic, high dimensional stability and abrasion resistance.
